The Senior Expert Chemists

We, the Senior Expert Chemists (SEC), are mostly retired chemists. We are a Division within the German Chemical Society (GDCh). Most of us hold a university degree. We have accumulated over 30 years of professional experience in responsible positions in industrial companies, educational institutions, research institutes, or government agencies. We make this knowledge and experience available to society. Our main areas of interest are:

- to strengthen the public image of chemistry
- to deepen the public's understanding of chemistry
- To learn and pass on chemistry knowledge throughout one's life
- To build networks of chemists at home and abroad
- to maintain international contacts

Women and men (or others) are of course equal in our view. However, for the sake of readability, we use the generic masculine form when referring to people.
